Description

  • Own the technical strategy across Digital Identity’s identity resolution, entitlement management, and fine-grained authorization platforms.
  • Architect and lead solutions for complex authorization scenarios involving business, family, and custodial access patterns.
  • Drive cross-organization platform convergence by defining shared platform primitives used across multiple technology teams.
  • Design verification, reconciliation, drift detection, and self-healing systems that prove platform correctness and data integrity.
  • Establish operational processes, incident response standards, and reliability practices for Tier-0 infrastructure.
  • Set engineering standards, run rigorous design reviews, and build processes that improve team effectiveness over time.
  • Mentor senior engineers and develop them into technical leaders.
  • Identify and prioritize high-leverage technical investments and emerging patterns for the platform.
  • Represent the team’s technical direction to peer groups and senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience designing and shipping distributed systems platforms at scale that other engineering teams depend on.
  • Strong understanding of event-driven systems, eventual consistency, cross-service data integrity, and production tradeoffs between consistency, availability, and latency.
  • Experience building systems with reconciliation mechanisms, audit trails, integrity guarantees, and automated verification.
  • Active use of AI for development, prototyping, and experimentation, with the ability to assess its benefits and risks.
  • Experience driving technical strategy across multiple teams and navigating ambiguous business problems.
  • Experience influencing peer groups and senior or executive leadership on technical direction.
  • Experience building engineering culture through design review rigor, operational readiness, on-call excellence, and mentorship.
  • Ownership mindset focused on outcomes, not just systems.
  • Experience building identity and authorization platforms, especially in multi-tenant or consumer-facing contexts, preferred.
  • Familiarity with relationship-based access control, fine-grained authorization, or identity federation infrastructure, preferred.
  • Experience in financial services or other regulated industries where compliance, audit trails, and data integrity are required, preferred.
  • Track record of platform convergence across acquisitions, subsidiaries, or organizations with different technical stacks, preferred.
