Description

  • Lead SoFi’s weekly crypto newsletter, setting and maintaining an authoritative, independent editorial voice.
  • Report on the most important stories shaping crypto markets, regulation, and infrastructure, and produce original analysis.
  • Translate complex crypto concepts and developments into accessible, investor-focused insights and concise editorial formats.
  • Ensure all newsletter content reflects rigorous editorial judgment, original reporting, fact-checking, and your own analysis.
  • Cultivate interviews, market insights, and op-eds from contributing partners and external sources.
  • Extend crypto editorial expertise into other formats (explainers, guides, scripts, multimedia assets, and special projects).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify content gaps and develop educational resources that help members make confident investing decisions.
  • Design and operate AI-enabled editorial workflows to accelerate research, idea generation, and production while ensuring all outputs are human-reviewed, written, and edited by you.
  • Leverage data and experimentation to iterate on formats and features that improve newsletter quality and audience engagement.

Requirements

  • Deep subject-matter expertise in crypto markets, blockchain infrastructure, and digital asset investing.
  • Knowledge of crypto-related regulation and topics such as stablecoins, custody, DeFi, and institutional adoption.
  • Proven experience writing and/or editing successful newsletters and packaging complex topics into concise, engaging formats.
  • Strong editorial judgment, exceptional writing and editing skills, and a clear sense of newsworthiness and narrative framing.
  • Demonstrated reporting instincts with a robust source network across crypto markets, policy, and institutional finance.
  • Experience working across multiple content formats (explainers, Q&As, guides, scripts, multimedia) and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience using AI tools to support research, production, and editorial workflows, with an ability to design and experiment with AI-assisted processes.
  • Commitment to high editorial standards, original reporting, thorough fact-checking, and ensuring all published content is human-written and human-edited.
  • This is a full-time contract position (final offer and terms to be determined during hiring).
