Description

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic clients and align customer roadmaps with the Smile product roadmap.
  • Partner with the Sales team to guide customers through the buying journey and shape solution recommendations.
  • Provide scoping support and use sandbox environments to validate business and technical solutions for clients.
  • Create high-level IT architecture specifications and design documents, and troubleshoot design issues.
  • Prepare solution justifications and present them to the Architecture Review Board for approval.
  • Support data migration and platform design for customer systems moving to Smile’s platform.
  • Deliver technical presentations, product demos, POCs, and ongoing technical consultation for prospective and existing customers.
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering, product, and support teams to bring customer feedback into Smile products.
  • Develop and maintain deep knowledge of Smile products, HL7 FHIR, market trends, customer environments, and the competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve product, sales, and marketing from a technical perspective.

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of experience in business development, technical sales, and/or customer consulting, with exposure to system design or architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare technology in one or more areas such as providers, payers, exchanges, or government programs (highly preferred).
  • Knowledge of HL7 FHIR and legacy healthcare integration standards and practices is required.
  • Significant hands-on experience in implementation and customer consulting, including identifying customer business challenges.
  • Experience building complex technology-based systems delivered successfully to customers at scale.
  • Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through implementation launch.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical software features, designs, strategy, and solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to present to and influence stakeholders up to C-level/executive level.
  • Previous experience leading or contributing to strategic RFP response development.
  • Knowledge of professional software development practices across the full SDLC, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Experience supporting new hires and colleagues to improve team effectiveness.
