Description

  • Create visual work that elevates and evolves the Smartsheet brand identity.
  • Lead project execution and review output from junior designers and contractors to maintain quality.
  • Participate in defining and creating flexible design systems and component libraries.
  • Design mood boards, comps, concept sketches, presentation decks, style guides, and storyboards.
  • Own projects from initial concept through final completion and determine how to present work to stakeholders.
  • Manage large-scale projects and deadlines while helping less senior designers manage time and resources.
  • Explain design decisions clearly and guide stakeholder feedback to keep work aligned to brief and strategy.
  • Partner with technology and project management teams to ensure designs meet creative, strategic, and technical goals.
  • Identify and commission external specialists such as artists and photographers for specialized projects.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in mid-to-senior level roles focused on marketing collateral, brand systems, and digital strategy for technology companies.
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Creative Cloud, Firefly, and Express.
  • Experience with motion design using After Effects is a bonus.
  • Experience with document design tools such as Google and Microsoft Office is a bonus.
  • Experience with web and prototyping tools such as Figma, Zeplin, Webflow, HTML/CSS, and Drupal is a bonus.
  • Ability to think strategically and understand organizational resources and company processes.
  • Ability to anticipate stakeholder needs and take ownership of project outcomes.
  • Proven ability to manage several large, complex projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, relevant studies and certifications, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Must reside in Costa Rica and be eligible for remote work within Costa Rica.
