Description

  • Report to the VP of Product and own design execution across shared product surfaces and systems.
  • Lead and develop a team of 4-6 designers while remaining hands-on in both system-level work and product feature design.
  • Lead design critique and review processes to maintain high quality and consistency across deliverables.
  • Partner with Product Management, Data, and Engineering leaders on planning, prioritization, and delivery.
  • Champion an inclusive, feedback-driven team culture that supports learning and continuous improvement.
  • Set and uphold rigorous design standards for craft, usability, accessibility, and design fidelity.
  • Own the end-to-end design process from discovery through delivery and iterate on team rituals, tools, and ways of working.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex design challenges, ambiguous problems, and cross-functional tensions.
  • Translate design decisions and priorities into clear business and user impact for external stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify resourcing, tooling, and process gaps and escalate needs to design leadership.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of product design experience.
  • At least 1-2 years in a lead, staff, or management role with responsibility for other designers' work.
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare or healthtech.
  • Experience managing or formally mentoring designers and developing design talent.
  • Ability to balance hands-on craft work with people management.
  • Strong facilitation and feedback skills, including leading critique and aligning teams on design decisions.
  • A portfolio demonstrating system-level thinking, visual design, interaction design, and information architecture.
  • Experience designing for expert users working with large volumes of structured and unstructured data, such as dashboards, review workflows, or decision-support tools.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining design systems in production, including component design, theming, and governance.
  • Experience designing AI-driven insights or clinical decision-support experiences within complex healthcare workflows.
  • Comfort writing clear documentation and guidelines that scale across multiple teams.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Experience with AI/ML or decision-support systems is a plus.
  • Experience in RCM, EHR, billing, charting, or transcription tools is strongly preferred.

Benefits

  • $190K-$210K base salary.
  • Benefits package included.
  • Fully remote within the US.
