Description

  • Design, build, and launch new multi-product features across SmarterDx’s applications.
  • Design, build, and launch reusable frontend components that are responsive and accessible.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to understand users and iterate on new ideas.
  • Work with product managers and subject matter experts to translate complex requirements into incremental plans and deliverables.
  • Protect patients’ privacy and security through secure coding practices.
  • Research and advocate for improved techniques, processes, and designs within the team.
  • Support SmarterDx’s applications in production.
  • Contribute across both frontend and backend work in a true full-stack role.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on user-facing solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience in a security-conscious environment.
  • Expertise in TypeScript, React, and Python.
  • Experience building software that supports decision-making through data visualization, data analytics, configurable workflow, or simulations.
  • Extensive experience working with product managers to shape requirements into small, incremental, business-valuable deliverables.
  • Experience project managing a small team using a modern agile methodology.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: experience as a startup founder or first engineering hire at a startup.
  • Preferred: experience designing and building information-dense user interfaces.
  • Preferred: experience in health tech, particularly clinical software.
  • Preferred: experience working with Kubernetes.

  • $230K to $250K base salary.
