Description

  • Review and analyze medical records to verify clinical accuracy in a timely manner.
  • Identify opportunities to improve clinical documentation and diagnostic models.
  • Apply coding guidelines and regulations to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on documentation and coding guidelines.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts that strengthen documentation practices and healthcare delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare, preferably in a clinical setting and a clinical documentation or coding role.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and healthcare documentation requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in health information management, nursing, or a related medical field.
  • Professional certification such as CCDS or CPC is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and interpret complex medical information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer applications, including electronic medical records systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills and effective time management practices.
