Description

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services using Clojure.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver well-scoped features.
  • Contribute to frontend and mobile development where needed, especially with React Native and TypeScript.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that meets engineering and security standards.
  • Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
  • Identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and technical debt.
  • Improve development practices, tooling, and system reliability.
  • Work iteratively within an agile team and adapt to changing priorities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of total professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining backend systems in Clojure.
  • 1+ year of experience contributing to React Native mobile application development.
  • 1+ year of experience with TypeScript in frontend or mobile environments.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including clean code, testing, and maintainability.
  • Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional product teams.
  • Comfortable operating at a mid to senior level and taking ownership of features and technical decisions.
  • Experience in financial services, fintech, or regulated environments is preferred.
  • Exposure to mobile-first or customer-facing applications at scale is preferred.
  • Familiarity with functional programming principles beyond Clojure is preferred.
