Description

  • Own the end-to-end AI product strategy for Zero Gravity Tutor, including prompting architecture, model selection, RAG design, context management, and AI output quality.
  • Build and continuously improve adaptive AI systems that personalise coaching for individual students.
  • Design, implement, and refine AI evaluation frameworks to measure model performance, output quality, hallucination rates, and learning outcomes.
  • Prototype new AI features by writing code, building proof-of-concepts, running experiments, and validating ideas before engineering investment.
  • Own the product roadmap by defining priorities, sequencing initiatives, and focusing the team on the highest-impact opportunities.
  • Establish success metrics for each release, analyse performance, lead post-launch reviews, and drive rapid experimentation and continuous learning.
  • Conduct user research with students, teachers, and partner schools, then translate feedback into product improvements.
  • Partner with Growth and Commercial teams to design engagement loops, packaging, positioning, and buyer-facing product experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering to align priorities, remove blockers, and maintain delivery pace.
  • Contribute learnings and best practices to Zero Gravity’s broader AI strategy across the organisation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience building AI-powered products with a strong understanding of prompting architecture, model behaviour, and AI-first product design.
  • Hands-on technical ability to prototype ideas, run AI evaluations, debug model outputs, and contribute to a codebase built with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
  • Deep knowledge of large language models, including context windows, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, fine-tuning trade-offs, and model quality measurement.
  • Strong product management experience owning products through discovery, definition, delivery, iteration, and continuous improvement in B2C and/or B2B environments.
  • Experience using analytics tools such as Metabase, Mixpanel, Google Analytics, or similar platforms to define metrics and measure outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to align engineers, commercial teams, and executive leadership in a fast-paced, low-process environment.
  • A strong focus on outcomes over outputs and a desire to build products that improve students’ life opportunities.
  • Experience in EdTech, consumer subscription products, or B2B SaaS with an end-user product component is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the UK education sector, including exam boards, curriculum structures, and school software adoption, is preferred.
  • Experience scaling a product from early traction through growth, or working in a 20–50 person company, is preferred.
