Description

  • Own the end-to-end Salesforce CPQ architecture and solution design from product catalog through quote, contract, and billing handoff.
  • Design CPQ workflows that support both rapid, automated SaaS quoting and complex enterprise quotes with bundles, dependencies, exceptions, and custom terms.
  • Model and maintain product hierarchies, bundles, features, entitlements, and pricing structures.
  • Create and manage price rules, product rules, discount schedules, and special pricing logic.
  • Support non-standard pricing scenarios including one-off SKUs, bespoke discounts, ramp deals, usage-based elements, and other exceptions.
  • Design approval processes that are robust, scalable, and not overly obstructive to sales teams.
  • Partner with Salesforce automation specialists to determine what logic belongs in CPQ, Flow, Apex, or downstream systems.
  • Translate sales, finance, and legal requirements into practical CPQ designs and business processes.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Sales Operations, Product Operations, and technical teams to deliver maintainable solutions.
  • Provide documentation and guidance for admins and future CPQ enhancements while continuously improving the system based on user feedback and performance monitoring.

Requirements

  • Deep, hands-on experience implementing Salesforce CPQ, not just administering it.
  • Proven experience implementing CPQ for SaaS or subscription-based businesses.
  • Proven experience supporting complex enterprise sales with high optionality and configurability.
  • Strong understanding of product rules, price rules, discounting, amendments, renewals, and upgrades.
  • Practical understanding of how quote lifecycle decisions affect contracts, billing, and revenue recognition.
  • Experience with Salesforce Billing or integration with external billing systems.
  • Experience working in heavily automated Salesforce orgs, especially Flow-first environments.
  • Salesforce CPQ and/or Revenue Cloud certification(s), with CPQ Specialist or Architect certifications preferred.
  • Exposure to usage-based or hybrid pricing models is preferred.
  • Breadth of experience with non-Salesforce ERP or quoting tools such as SAP or Oracle is advantageous.
