Description

  • Develop and maintain backend services and APIs for the platform.
  • Collaborate with international stakeholders, especially the US team, on day-to-day delivery.
  • Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Apply clean coding practices and strong engineering standards in implementation.
  • Use GitHub pull request workflows to submit work and participate in code review.
  • Communicate promptly with the team to keep tasks moving efficiently across time zones.
  • Contribute to business modeling and problem-solving as part of feature development.
  • Work within remote team processes and maintain effective cross-functional communication.

Requirements

  • Must be located anywhere in Vietnam and either be a Vietnamese citizen or hold a valid Vietnam work visa.
  • This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week.
  • Able to work an average of 8 hours per day with daily communication and timely responses.
  • Fluent English communication skills for working with international teams.
  • Strong Java experience with extensive backend and API development background.
  • Deep familiarity with the Java ecosystem, commonly used frameworks, and libraries.
  • Strong unit testing and integration testing skills.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, programming fundamentals, engineering practices, and clean code.
  • Familiarity with Docker, AWS S3, RDS, and related tools/components.
  • Proficient with Git workflows, especially GitHub pull requests.
  • Prior remote work experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work during US Eastern Time hours or provide at least a 5-hour overlap between 9 pm and 2 am Vietnam time.
