Description

  • Lead UX strategy and design quality for the Foundation pillar across trial, activation, onboarding, and packaging experiences.
  • Set and uphold the UX quality bar across all Foundation surfaces.
  • Plan and sequence design work with accurate estimates and capacity visibility.
  • Partner as a co-owner of product direction in the Foundation triad with Product Management and Engineering.
  • Bring user evidence and design perspective into roadmap prioritization.
  • Advocate for users during roadmap decisions and ensure user research informs commitments.
  • Manage and develop a team of 5–7 UX designers, including Staff and Senior ICs.
  • Run and participate in UX critique and strengthen critique culture across the design team and broader organization.
  • Lead cross-pillar design coordination for shared surfaces across Foundation, Experimentation, Guardian, and AgentControl.
  • Partner with the Head of UX on hiring, org planning, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • 10–12+ years of experience in product design, UX, or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience managing and developing a design team with direct reports who grew, took on more scope, or were promoted.
  • Experience leading UX designers directly is strongly preferred; engineering leadership with deep design practice and domain fluency is also considered.
  • Experience as the UX voice in a product triad, co-owning roadmap direction with Product and Engineering.
  • History of defining and enforcing a quality bar on team output.
  • Experience designing for developer tools, self-serve B2B SaaS, or products with an engineering user base.
  • Strong communication skills for presenting strategy, advocating for users under pressure, and giving actionable feedback.
  • Experience with SDKs, design systems, or close collaboration with engineers is valuable for the role.
  • Comfort working on evidence-backed, well-defined activation problems.
  • Ability to think in systems and connect trial, activation, retention, and cross-surface seams.

Benefits

  • Target base pay of $240,600–$330,700 for Zone 1, $216,500–$297,600 for Zone 2, or $204,500–$281,100 for Zone 3.
