Description

  • Design low-voltage, telecommunications, and audio/visual systems within the built environment.
  • Create layouts for MDF/IDF/Demarc rooms, horizontal cabling, and related system specifications.
  • Support design work for wireless access control, security and access control, surveillance, nurse call, and other low-voltage systems.
  • Use CAD/BIM software to develop engineering designs for cable routing, equipment layouts, and communication systems.
  • Contribute to projects under the guidance of experienced designers and help deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Assist in managing project components from start to finish with close attention to detail.
  • Participate in client meetings and support strong client relationships.
  • Travel to job sites as needed to support project execution.
  • Assist with other electrical design projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Drafting and Design preferred.
  • 3+ years of CAD/BIM experience.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Experience in low voltage, security, or AV design.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills in complex engineering drawing design and layout.
