Description

  • Design and implement the global data governance operating model and chair the cross-functional Data Governance Committee.
  • Define and enforce enterprise data ownership, stewardship, and custodial roles.
  • Establish and maintain data policies covering classification, retention, quality, and access.
  • Operationalize governance across AWS/cloud environments, third-party tools, and business domains.
  • Roll out the Erwin Data Intelligence platform with data architects and data product leaders.
  • Develop and maintain the AI governance framework aligned with regulatory requirements and chair the AI Governance Committee.
  • Establish enterprise AI policy, model risk management standards, and requirements for documentation, explainability, monitoring, and validation.
  • Manage intake, cataloguing, evaluation, prioritization, and oversight of GenAI and agentic use cases, including third-party solutions.
  • Partner with underwriting, claims, actuarial, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and other teams on governance and AI controls.
  • Define the enterprise data quality framework, set KPIs and SLAs, and embed controls in data ingestion processes.
  • Drive metadata and lineage transparency and improve trust in data products for downstream consumption.
  • Train business data owners and stewards and create governance dashboards and reporting for ELT.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data governance, risk, compliance, or data leadership roles.
  • Experience in insurance, reinsurance, or financial services.
  • Knowledge of GDPR / UK GDPR, cross-border data transfer rules, AI governance frameworks, and model risk management.
  • Experience implementing governance tools such as Erwin, Collibra, or Purview.
  • Strong understanding of AWS-based data architectures.
  • Experience supporting AI/ML governance.
  • Exposure to Lloyd’s or specialty insurance markets is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ACORD data standards is preferred.
  • Knowledge of MGA/delegated authority data models is preferred.
  • Experience with cloud-native governance controls such as Lake Formation and Macie is preferred.
  • Background spanning both data governance and AI governance is preferred.
  • Familiarity with global data privacy and protection regulations is preferred.
  • Strong execution ability with strategic thinking.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Comfort working in both business and technical environments.
  • Ability to influence cross-functionally and enable innovation without excessive friction.
  • Must be authorized to work without visa sponsorship, as sponsorship is not available.
