Description

  • Own software projects end-to-end across the product life cycle.
  • Work on small, collaborative teams to deliver brand new and existing production projects with each release.
  • Write, test, and improve software for core database and query engine features.
  • Explore and contribute to emerging technologies such as LLMs and vector indexes.
  • Improve fault tolerance and reliability of SingleStore clusters.
  • Accelerate SQL query performance using techniques such as SIMD and LLVM code generation.
  • Develop search and costing modules for the query optimizer.
  • Collaborate across product, marketing, and sales as a business partner.
  • Contribute to rapid release cycles in a production environment.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals, especially operating systems, concurrency, multithreading, and server architectures.
  • Strong programming skills in C++ or C.
  • Passion for building highly reliable software.
  • Firm grasp of algorithms and data structures.
  • Ability to work effectively on diverse teams and with a diverse range of people.
  • Interest in cloud-native, distributed SQL database systems (preferred context).
