Description

  • Develop and implement a security engineering roadmap aligned with business objectives and risk appetite.
  • Oversee the design, review, and implementation of security architecture across network, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
  • Hire, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of security architects and engineers.
  • Identify security gaps and evaluate, adopt, and automate security tools to improve efficiency.
  • Lead threat modeling and vulnerability management to prioritize security investments and address potential breaches.
  • Collaborate with IT, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance teams to promote Secure by Design practices.
  • Build relationships across the organization to embed Security by Design within engineering teams and the wider business.
  • Define and lead the technology, processes, and programs that support Auctane’s global cybersecurity practices.
  • Manage core security operations for enterprise and cloud environments.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity.
  • At least 3-5 years of leadership experience leading large-scale cybersecurity implementations.
  • Experience leading large-scale security programs and influencing an organization to improve security.
  • Expert-level experience across multiple security domains in enterprise and cloud infrastructure.
  • Advanced experience leading large-scale cross-functional programs and defining strategy, roadmap, and milestones.
  • Experience managing technical and non-technical stakeholders and advising senior management on risk management.
  • Ability to balance high-quality delivery against demanding timelines.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, AWS Security, or GCP Security.
  • Expert-level knowledge of AWS, Azure, and/or GCP security (preferred).
  • Experience with vulnerability and risk management across public cloud and enterprise environments (preferred).
  • Experience leading advanced threat detection and prevention programs in a cross-functional environment (preferred).
  • Experience developing security patterns with architectural recommendations (preferred).
  • Advanced experience in software development practices and automation, with basic knowledge of AI (preferred).
  • Ability to work remotely from Spain with hours overlapping the US-based organization.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
