Description

  • Directly lead and manage Patient Engagement Specialists to support prior authorization and financial assistance for patients obtaining medication.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, performance management, and professional development for the Patient Engagement team.
  • Manage assigned hospital and clinic support to help ensure patients receive medications on time and service-level goals are met.
  • Oversee team administrative processes including ADP, PTO, time reports, audits, and new request management in supported systems.
  • Monitor communication between the Patient Engagement team and other clinical teams and address issues as needed.
  • Coordinate collaboration with on-site hospital management through quarterly calls, kickoff calls, status reviews, and follow-up meetings.
  • Prepare agendas, run team meetings, and maintain records and notes from collaboration calls and team discussions.
  • Support hiring, interviewing, onboarding, access requests, and training coordination for new team members.
  • Absorb overflow work during short staffing or high workload periods and troubleshoot daily team issues as needed.
  • Manage on-site pharmacy relations and workflows related to claim reversals, delivery slips, coordination of care, and phone calls.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of pharmacy technician experience, with 3-5+ years preferred in specialty pharmacy.
  • Registered with the state of employment and nationally certified as a CPhT.
  • Continued employment is contingent on obtaining or maintaining any required state certification within a mutually agreed timeframe.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or actively working toward a degree.
  • Strongly preferred leadership experience, such as Regional Team Lead or similar experience leading team members.
  • Training in leadership or management theory and its workplace application is preferred.
  • Strong communication presence with the ability to influence without formal authority.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, with strong Excel skills including basic formulas, data manipulation, and graph creation.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy dispensing or EMR systems is desirable, with Willow, Qs1, and RX30 experience a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for remote positions outside core locations if needed.
