Description

  • Communicate directly with insurance companies to facilitate medication approvals and prior authorizations.
  • Work with clinician offices to review prescriptions and ensure appropriate patient care.
  • Navigate pharmacy dispensing and operating systems to enter data, adjudicate claims, and prepare follow-up action plans.
  • Document patient concerns, prior authorization status, and financial assistance needs across databases, electronic medical records, and email.
  • Assist patients with pharmacy insurance claims, refill support, and medication compliance over the phone.
  • Coordinate with pharmacists and pharmacy liaisons to support integrated patient care.
  • Research and investigate information to support decision-making and resolve operational issues.
  • Manage, organize, and update relevant data using database applications.
  • Identify trends, recommend improvements, and participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential patient records and communications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician required.
  • State registered or state certified as a pharmacy technician required.
  • National certification as a CPhT or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • If no state registration is available in the candidate's state of residence, national certification is required at time of hire.
  • Commitment to obtain any additional required licensure within a mutually agreed timeframe if needed.
  • Minimal in-state or out-of-state travel may be required.
