Description

  • Make outbound phone calls to eligible patients and enroll them in the Shields Partner Pharmacy program.
  • Educate patients on the services offered by the Shields Specialty Pharmacy Program.
  • Communicate a clear value proposition for using the Shields Partner Pharmacy program over other pharmacy care models.
  • Review patient EMR and chart notes before outreach to understand the patient’s condition and situation.
  • Identify medications that require special storage or handling, including hazardous and refrigerated medications.
  • Identify and coordinate necessary supplies for select medications, such as sharps containers, needles, syringes, alcohol swabs, and band-aids.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect Shields values.
  • Work flexible shifts, including occasional Saturday coverage when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 0-1 years of experience as a pharmacy technician or in a related role.
  • Active pharmacy technician licensure in Colorado.
  • National certification through PTCB or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • PTCB or ExCPT licensure is strongly preferred.
  • Commitment to obtain required licensure within a mutually agreed-upon timeframe if needed.
  • Strong verbal communication and phone skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Prior customer service or outbound call experience preferred.
