Description

Design, build, implement, and troubleshoot information systems hosted on VMware, AWS, and Azure.
Administer and maintain virtual machines, virtual infrastructure, and supporting physical infrastructure.
Monitor virtual environment performance and optimize resource allocation for efficient operation.
Diagnose and resolve virtualization issues involving VM performance, connectivity, and security.
Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions for virtual environments.
Apply patches, updates, and security configurations to maintain the security of virtual environments.
Oversee upgrades, migrations, and other infrastructure changes across supported platforms.
Automate infrastructure deployment and integrate Infrastructure as Code into CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with other IT teams to support virtualization needs and integrated solutions.
Document virtualization configurations, procedures, and policies, and provide mentorship to junior staff.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5-7 years of experience leading virtualization administration.
Experience managing VMware, Hyper-V, or similar virtualization technologies.
Experience supporting on-premises hardware infrastructure, including servers and storage.
Experience with cloud-hosted environments in Microsoft Azure, and exposure to AWS and VMware platforms.
Experience automating IT administration and server provisioning using Azure DevOps, Azure Automation, Azure CLI, PowerShell, VMware PowerCLI, and Terraform.
Experience integrating infrastructure tool APIs for Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
Ability to plan, prioritize work, and follow tasks through to completion with strong attention to detail.
Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) and Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate preferred.
