Description

Manage and maintain NCUA’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and applications.
Oversee deployment, configuration, and support of IT systems to maintain performance and security.
Administer Microsoft Servers and Azure Cloud Services across multiple availability zones and physical locations.
Perform regular updates, backups, troubleshooting, and monitoring to preserve system integrity and availability.
Provide unified role-based access across NCUA’s IT services.
Collaborate with other IT teams on projects and initiatives and provide technical expertise.
Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to support compliance requirements.
Participate in security, compliance assessments, audits, disaster recovery planning, and testing.
Research emerging technologies and recommend improvements and innovations.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior staff and maintain system documentation.
Implement and manage security measures, including M365 Conditional Access policies and infrastructure-as-code automation for PIOps.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience leading IT systems administration, including enterprise-level infrastructure oversight.
Demonstrated expertise with PowerShell for Windows Server administration, Intune, Entra ID, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
Experience with systems monitoring and troubleshooting tools, including performance monitoring, event logs, and alerting.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience scripting for automation, such as Python.
Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code to provision and manage cloud resources.
Experience with Azure DevOps.
Experience with Azure DevSecOps.
Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Network+, and VMware Certified Professional.
