Description

  • Build and cultivate an empowered field team culture that supports high performance and collaboration.
  • Lead the commercial launch strategy by providing clear sales direction and coaching.
  • Develop business plans, customer targeting, and account prioritization aligned to national and territory goals.
  • Strengthen the team’s clinical acumen in diabetes and insulin therapy.
  • Support the team in meeting or exceeding sales goals and delivering product training.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and sales leadership to align field needs with market dynamics.
  • Conduct regular field visits and provide timely coaching feedback based on customer interactions and performance.
  • Coach team members on product knowledge, competitive knowledge, selling skills, technical skills, analytics, relationship building, and compliance.
  • Plan and manage operational budgets with a focus on return on investment.
  • Build relationships with healthcare professionals, opinion leaders, and influencers to drive product adoption.
  • Ensure field activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.
  • Mentor new and junior regional business leaders.
  • Lead national projects and initiatives.
  • Lead area team calls and meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of field sales experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related industry sales experience in diabetes, endocrinology, insulin infusion pumps, or managed care.
  • 4+ years of sales leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated history of success leading a field sales team preferred.
  • Experience recruiting and developing team members.
  • Experience leading sales teams to launch and deliver products.
  • Experience developing strategic business plans with specific, measurable, action-oriented objectives.
  • Demonstrated relationships with endocrinologists strongly preferred.
  • Previous sales award recognition such as President’s Club or Rookie of the Year preferred.
  • Strong data analysis, evaluation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of diabetes products and therapies.
  • Candidate must live within the assigned geography.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced start-up environment.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to carry and transport professional sales samples and literature.
  • Ability to travel within the defined territory as necessary, including overnight travel.
  • Multiple years of consecutive sales success.
  • Recognition for outstanding leadership contribution.
