Description

  • Design, build, and evolve complex software systems across the product stack.
  • Develop backend functionality in a JVM language or Python.
  • Build and maintain large front-end applications with TypeScript and React.
  • Work with databases, distributed computing, and cloud platforms as needed.
  • Write maintainable code and advocate for unit testing, continuous integration, and clean design.
  • Participate in pair programming and code reviews to improve team output and quality.
  • Mentor junior engineers and take on leadership responsibilities to help scale the team.
  • Collaborate closely with teammates in an agile, cross-functional environment.
  • Own features end-to-end across frontend and backend codebases.
  • Provide and receive feedback to support personal and team growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent experience, in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Substantial professional experience in software development, with years of experience designing, building, and evolving complex software systems.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Expertise in building large React applications with TypeScript.
  • Expertise in one or more backend languages such as Python or Node.js.
  • Ability to work effectively across frontend and backend codebases and own features end-to-end.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor junior engineers.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Authorized to work in the country of residence, with no US F1 or H-1B visa sponsorship available.
  • Willingness to work fully remotely and travel in person once a year.
