Description

  • Drive adoption of effective development and operations patterns, structures, and technologies.
  • Identify work that can be automated and implement automation improvements.
  • Monitor and improve CI/CD processes to increase speed, safety, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain GitLab CI pipeline libraries.
  • Support developers with CI/CD setup and troubleshooting for their projects.
  • Provide senior-level recommendations and implementations for Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes hosting environments.
  • Mentor junior team members and share technical guidance and learning recommendations.
  • Educate team members and application development teams on the platforms used and hosted by the team.
  • Work with the Security team to remediate high-risk vulnerabilities and review environment security.
  • Provide services and support for related platform and infrastructure projects across the group as needed.

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud, release pipeline management, Windows Server administration, Linux administration, certificate management, scripting, configuration management, DNS, and networking.
  • Experience with AWS and other cloud technologies.
  • Enterprise-level Kubernetes experience.
  • Strong Linux administration skills.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Understanding of observability, modern application architecture, blue-green deployments, canary deployments, and CI/CD pipeline management.
  • Familiarity with tools such as GitLab, Docker, Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, MSK, and New Relic.
  • Bonus: familiarity with database concepts, Apache Kafka configuration and troubleshooting, ELK configuration and troubleshooting, and Go or similar scripting languages.
