Description

  • Work with design and product managers to bring product ideas to life for fans.
  • Mentor and help grow web engineers across the organization.
  • Contribute to the maturity of the front-end technology strategy and stack.
  • Lead product initiatives end to end.
  • Build inclusive and accessible user experiences.
  • Tackle performance and caching issues across a distributed web application.
  • Use monitoring and testing to validate whether changes improve the user experience.
  • Collaborate with the design team to build on established design work.
  • Work full stack in Python when needed to get work done.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in frontend software engineering.
  • Recent experience leading product initiatives end to end.
  • Exceptional command of TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with at least one modern framework and client-side rendering technique.
  • Experience with TypeScript, React, and Next.js is helpful but not required.
  • Strong UI and product instincts, with care for usability and inclusive, accessible experiences.
  • Comfort going deeper into the stack to troubleshoot caching inefficiencies and distributed systems.
  • Ability to architect for performance and maintainability.
  • Comfort working full stack in Python when needed.
  • Some experience with design tools such as Figma or Sketch is preferred.
  • Interest in learning new tools and technologies quickly.
