Description

  • Design, develop, maintain, and release Scout Motors’ iOS applications.
  • Drive the technical architecture and implementation of mobile platforms and solutions from the ground up.
  • Build mobile solutions that are scalable, reliable, and performant.
  • Share knowledge across the team through pair programming, code reviews, presentations, example code, and documentation.
  • Implement programming best practices, deployment processes, and monitoring for mobile platforms.
  • Stay current with emerging mobile technologies and industry trends and advocate for new tools and techniques when appropriate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience shipping customer-facing applications on iOS.
  • Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI.
  • Solid understanding of mobile platform architecture, UI/UX design principles and frameworks, GraphQL, mobile security, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git, CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps, and mobile release processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience operating in start-up settings, launching 0 to 1 products, and driving them into highly customized applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passion for mobile technology and a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences.
  • Experience building systems in the automotive industry or working on IoT devices, preferred.
  • Experience with mobile app testing, experimentation frameworks, and automation frameworks, preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Role may be based remotely within the United States, but is not eligible for remote work in New York City.
  • Ability to travel and meet with colleagues in person from time to time, as needed.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation with a base salary range of $140,000 to $170,000, or $154,000 to $187,000 for California.
  • Eligibility for an annual performance bonus program.

  • Generous paid time off, including 20 days of planned PTO, 40 hours of unplanned PTO, and 14 company or floating holidays annually.
