Description

  • Design, build, and evolve core platform capabilities such as data integration, semantic modeling, simulation, optimization, and AI-powered decision support.
  • Architect and develop scalable distributed systems across cloud-native, hybrid, sovereign cloud, and air-gapped environments.
  • Own platform components through the full engineering lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to deployment, operations, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Build data platforms that ingest, transform, and synchronize data from cloud services, legacy systems, IoT devices, and disconnected environments.
  • Develop secure, resilient, and performant backend services and APIs using Python and Node.js/TypeScript.
  • Deploy and operate machine learning and LLM-based solutions in production.
  • Provide technical leadership through mentoring, architecture and code reviews, and engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and domain experts to solve complex operational problems.
  • Improve platform reliability, observability, automation, testing, deployment practices, and performance.
  • Drive technical direction in ambiguous problem spaces and use AI to accelerate engineering work.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience building, shipping, and operating production systems.
  • Strong infrastructure engineering experience with Kubernetes, containers, networking, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience across AWS, Azure, and/or on-premises infrastructure.
  • Deep backend engineering experience with Python and/or Node.js/TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, relational databases, and scalable application design.
  • Proven data engineering experience with pipelines, streaming architectures, orchestration workflows, and heterogeneous enterprise data integration.
  • Experience deploying and operating AI/ML systems, including machine learning models and LLM-powered applications in production.
  • Strong systems design skills with experience building reliable, scalable, and resilient platforms.
  • Experience leading teams or mentoring engineers, driving architecture decisions, and contributing hands-on.
  • Comfort working across the stack, including enough frontend experience to design, review, and contribute when needed.
  • Highly self-directed, outcome-oriented, and comfortable navigating ambiguity with minimal oversight.
  • Fast learner with an ownership mindset and experience using AI-assisted development tools.
  • Preferred: experience with semantic data models, ontologies, or knowledge graph platforms.
  • Preferred: experience with simulation, optimization, or digital twin technologies.
  • Preferred: experience developing AI agents or autonomous workflows.
  • Preferred: exposure to healthcare, utilities, telecommunications, energy, or government technology platforms.
  • Preferred: experience building for sovereign cloud or air-gapped deployments.
  • Preferred: experience contributing to platform engineering or developer tooling initiatives.
