Description

  • Architect and implement a connectivity platform for Android and iOS mobile apps.
  • Improve the application architecture and development processes for the mobile team.
  • Partner with firmware and backend engineers to design the overall connectivity architecture.
  • Collaborate with full-stack engineers on mobile-specific considerations for customer-facing features.
  • Improve the reliability and usability of continuous integration, metrics collection, and mobile build systems.
  • Mentor junior developers and help raise the technical level of the team.
  • Produce high-quality, maintainable code, write tests, review code collaboratively, and ship software.
  • Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales globally.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience in mobile development for Android and/or iOS.
  • Experience building and shipping high-quality production mobile applications using native or React Native frameworks.
  • 3+ years of professional experience building BLE-enabled mobile applications that interface with hardware products.
  • Experience building and using observability tools, frameworks, and standards.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience driving projects and working cross-functionally.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive independent work.
  • Passion for exploring and experimenting with new technologies that improve customer products.
  • Experience leading projects from concept to launch (preferred).
  • Ownership mentality (preferred).
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to work autonomously (preferred).
  • Remote position open to candidates residing in the United States.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary of $154,700 to $260,000 USD.
  • Eligible for an initial RSU grant with no vesting cliff.
