Description

  • Participate in three six‑month rotations (e.g., Planning & Forecasting, Sourcing & Supply Chain Program Management, Logistics & Orders Fulfillment) to gain end‑to‑end operational experience
  • Analyze tradeoffs of cost, quality, and responsiveness across Samsara’s supply chain from materials procurement to last‑mile delivery
  • Develop deep understanding of Samsara’s vendor base and track market, competitive, and international dynamics for materials and logistics services
  • Adopt and apply negotiation strategies to secure optimal sourcing terms for components, finished goods, freight rates, and warehousing services
  • Build and maintain cross‑functional relationships with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, and Customer Success
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) launches and their operational implementation
  • Drive cross‑functional projects focused on the Integrated Business Planning process and consolidate supply chain insights for senior leadership decision‑making
  • Conduct analytics on process value optimization, cost opportunities and risks, and market intelligence to inform product and operational roadmaps
  • Design and implement new processes and develop subject matter expertise to contribute to business growth and profitability
  • Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (customer focus, long‑term thinking, growth mindset, inclusivity, and teamwork) as operations scale globally

Requirements

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Finance, Economics, or equivalent, completed in 2024 or later
  • 4+ years of prior experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, or supply chain (pre‑ or post‑graduate)
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with ability to distill complex subjects for broad audiences
  • High proficiency with G‑Suite products and familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor)
  • Strong analytical, research, and negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail while maintaining a big‑picture perspective and a proactive approach to problem solving amid ambiguity and changing priorities
  • Demonstrated commitment to a career in operations or supply chain and an exceptional team‑player mentality
  • Preferred: experience with ERP systems, Salesforce, Tableau, and planning systems (e.g., Adaptive)
  • Preferred: strategic program/project management experience and demonstrated ability to simplify complex information for multiple stakeholders
  • Preferred: experience engaging in complex negotiations, intellectual curiosity, and passion for technology and operations
  • Location: role is fully remote and open to candidates residing in the U.S. except the San Francisco Bay Metro Area, NYC Metro Area, and Washington, D.C. Metro Area

  • Annual base salary range: $79,730 — $120,600 USD
