Description

  • Manage and develop the Infrastructure Operations team across US and APAC time zones.
  • Own the weekly DevOps cadence, alert reviews, and 24/7 on-call coverage model.
  • Lead P1/P2 incident response and drive improvements in MTTR, runbooks, and alert hygiene.
  • Own capacity planning and hardware lifecycle across four data centers, including procurement, power, space, and remote-hands logistics.
  • Run the annual cloud-versus-colo evaluation and deliver the recommendation to leadership.
  • Oversee the core infrastructure stack, including Linux fleet operations, provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring.
  • Manage the spine-leaf network, including peering, transit, and low-latency performance tuning.
  • Support stateful data systems such as Aerospike, Kafka, ClickHouse, and Hadoop/HDFS.
  • Own colo/vendor relationships, invoices, contracts, and infrastructure-related budgets.
  • Partner with security and compliance on SOC 2 Type 2 evidence, hardening, and access reviews.

Requirements

  • 6–8 years of infrastructure or data center operations experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing engineers.
  • Experience with bare-metal and colo operations, including capacity planning, hardware procurement, and remote-hands workflows.
  • Strong network fundamentals at scale, including spine-leaf architecture, BGP/peering, transit blends, and low-latency tuning.
  • Deep Linux operations experience with systemd, netplan, FreeIPA/Chrony, Ansible and/or Salt, and Zabbix.
  • Experience operating large stateful distributed systems such as Aerospike, Cassandra, Scylla, Kafka, or ClickHouse.
  • Demonstrated P1/P2 incident ownership, including on-call program management, postmortems, and alert hygiene.
  • Hybrid cloud experience with AWS is a plus; Kubernetes exposure is also a plus.
  • SOC 2 or compliance evidence experience is preferred, along with Okta and Vanta familiarity.
  • Experience in adtech, RTB, or other high-QPS, latency-sensitive environments is preferred.
  • Netris or other SDN controller experience is preferred, and MAAS provisioning familiarity is a plus.
  • Remote role open to candidates based in the United States.
  • Willingness to travel periodically to data center sites and SF HQ.
