Description

  • Monitor SIEM and other security platforms for suspicious or anomalous activity.
  • Investigate, classify, prioritize, and respond to security alerts and confirmed incidents.
  • Follow and continuously improve incident response playbooks, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in vulnerability management activities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on incident response and threat mitigation.
  • Maintain and tune monitoring systems and detection rules while addressing coverage gaps.
  • Document incidents, findings, remediation steps, and investigation results.
  • Support forensic investigations and evidence collection when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information security, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of cybersecurity experience.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and XDR tools.
  • Experience with security operations center processes.
  • Experience documenting and maintaining processes and procedures.
  • Relevant certifications such as GSEC, GCIH, CompTIA, BTL1, BTL2, or vendor certifications.
  • Knowledge of ITIL is preferred.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and network protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, client-focus, and expectation-management skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally domestically and internationally.
