Description

  • Monitor and respond to security alerts across corporate, endpoint, cloud, and SaaS environments.
  • Rapidly detect and identify intrusions and other malicious activity.
  • Manage the full incident response lifecycle, including triage, investigation, root cause analysis, and remediation.
  • Partner with vulnerability management, FedRAMP, and engineering teams to assess threats and drive remediation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve security events.
  • Improve detection capabilities and response processes through feedback and program maturity efforts.
  • Update and maintain incident records, case attributes, and investigation details.
  • Review, document, and update SOC processes.
  • Support compliance-related security and privacy responsibilities for U.S. Federal Government interests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of Security Operations Center experience, including security investigations and incident response.
  • Relevant security certifications such as SANS, CompTIA, or ISC2 preferred.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, including direct written communication and report writing.
  • Experience using incident analysis and investigation techniques and optimizing playbooks.
  • Experience with SIEM, EDR, or incident analysis and response tools.
  • Experience with cloud-native security solutions such as Azure Defender, Google Security Command Center, or AWS GuardDuty.
  • Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure and security concepts across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills with sound judgment under uncertainty.
  • Excellent real-time collaboration and teamwork skills, with an interest in applying AI or automation to security operations.
  • Ability to work a standard schedule aligned with Pacific Time Zone hours.
  • Ability to pass role-specific background screening requirements, which may include SF85, SF85P, Tier 1 or Tier 2 investigations, and a fingerprint-based check for CJIS-related access.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $124,200 to $186,200 USD for SF Bay Area, DC Metro, NYC, and Seattle roles.
  • Base salary range of $111,800 to $167,600 USD for all other U.S. offices or remote roles.
  • Eligible for bonus potential.
