Description

  • Develop, negotiate, and maintain contracts with all payers (insurance companies, private pay, MCOs, government programs).
  • Research territories to identify payer gaps and support expansion into new markets.
  • Lead the contract lifecycle from pre-contract negotiation through post-signature administration and approvals.
  • Ensure contractual arrangements meet financial targets and legal/regulatory compliance, including analysis of cost and utilization data.
  • Create and maintain processes to notify stakeholders of critical contract events (renewals, terminations, due dates).
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with contracted providers and represent the company professionally to the provider community.
  • Evaluate fee schedules annually to identify opportunities for additional covered services, policy changes, or reimbursement improvements.
  • Coordinate and communicate contractual terms, medical policy, and billing policy changes to the billing department and other internal teams.
  • Produce and maintain periodic reports (e.g., bi-weekly) on the status of all contracts and assure accurate data entry of contract specifications into the database.
  • Support contracting administration and related projects as needed, and collaborate with Leadership on strategic business goals and network assessments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with healthcare contracting.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the home healthcare industry and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Willingness to participate in all aspects of the contract administrative process.
  • Proven provider partnership and interpersonal skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent contract negotiation skills and the ability to develop and deliver presentations to internal and external groups.
  • Results-driven, persistent, able to self-direct and work independently while seeking guidance when appropriate.
  • Ability to multi-task, pay close attention to detail, and be flexible in a fast-paced, growing organization.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with computer software such as MS Office Suite and PowerPoint, and experience with social media and internet-based research.
  • Experience working at a home healthcare company highly preferred.
  • Full-time availability and ability to work a remote schedule aligned with 9 AM–5 PM CST.
