Description

  • Own the end-to-end design process for the Proposals squad in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
  • Lead an iterative design process that includes UX research, prototyping, usability testing, feedback incorporation, and metrics review.
  • Apply strategic thinking to product features so design solutions align with company goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and turn them into design solutions.
  • Advocate for users and keep customer needs central to product decisions.
  • Contribute to the design team through design jams, critiques, retrospectives, and cross-squad initiatives.
  • Work closely with a highly skilled product design team and support peer growth.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience supporting full product life cycles.
  • Ability to break down complex problems into intuitive, delightful solutions.
  • Experience with user research methodologies and translating findings into actionable design insights.
  • Strong visual design skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams.
  • Comfort with integrating AI tools into the design process for ideation, prototyping, and research synthesis.
  • Growth mindset with a desire to improve processes, tools, and techniques.
  • Experience designing for construction tech or related software (bonus).
  • Experience working in fast-paced startup environments (bonus).
  • Experience using and contributing to design systems (bonus).
  • Willingness to take risks and support innovative solutions that may not be immediately obvious to stakeholders (bonus).

  • Compensation band of $130,000 to $150,000 CAD.
