Description

  • Create and implement automated configuration and deployment processes for the platform and related services.
  • Establish and manage administrator and service accounts while maintaining system documentation.
  • Resolve technical issues and troubleshoot operating system and application problems.
  • Build self-service capabilities in the Platform as a Service environment using scripting tools.
  • Collaborate closely with developers to diagnose, troubleshoot, and smooth operations.
  • Own the operational responsibility for services under the team’s ownership.
  • Support customer needs through on-call availability.
  • Continuously improve the product and deliver software that meets user needs effectively.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in cloud/platform operations or related roles across diverse environments.
  • Experience administering cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes container orchestration.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools, especially Terraform.
  • Subject matter expertise in Linux operating systems administration.
  • Ability to develop automation solutions using scripting languages to streamline recurring tasks.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and technologies such as Load Balancers, DNS, SSL, Firewalls, NAT, and NTP.
  • Experience troubleshooting operating systems and applications effectively.
  • Experience supporting large-scale production systems and resolving production issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and interest in collaborative work environments.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance for U.S. Government work.
  • Preferred: Proficiency troubleshooting issues using the Linux/Unix command line interface.
  • Preferred: Professional certifications such as RHCE, Linux+, MCSA, AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, Security+, CISSP, or CCNA.
  • Preferred: Background in DevOps automation practices.
  • Preferred: Direct experience in client interaction.
  • U.S. citizenship required due to federal government customer work.
  • Required: Willingness to undergo a background investigation.
