Description

  • Automate the deployment, operation, and maintenance of systems in a hybrid cloud environment using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools.
  • Administer Linux-based systems and applications across virtual and physical infrastructure.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain IP networks in a corporate environment.
  • Build robust automated self-service solutions for development teams to handle routine infrastructure requests.
  • Integrate security testing tools into build and deployment pipelines to improve code security.
  • Implement monitoring for the reliability and security of applications and infrastructure services.
  • Support and continuously improve the core infrastructure platform that underpins development and operational services.
  • Contribute to incident response across a complex microservice-based application environment.
  • Design secure software systems and implement security measures for applications and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Strong experience administering and securing Linux hosts on both virtual and physical infrastructure.
  • Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tooling such as Ansible, Terraform, and Helm.
  • Experience configuring, managing, and securing public cloud infrastructure such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience administering containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Experience administering IP networking in a corporate environment.
  • Experience automating tasks using Bash, Python, JavaScript, and GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of security testing and monitoring tools such as SAST and SIEM products.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tooling for application and infrastructure metrics such as Prometheus, Datadog, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Experience contributing to incident response in a complex microservice-based application environment.
  • Background in Application Security best practices, including threat and vulnerability identification and secure system design.
  • The company notes that not all technologies are expected to be covered fully and is willing to provide training for gaps.
  • UK-wide candidates are eligible, with remote-first working and optional office access near Cheltenham.
