Description

  • Lead development and continuous improvement of production demand modeling, sales forecasting, pricing, and ticket inventory optimization applications to enable demand-based decision-making across sports and live event organizations.
  • Oversee and perform model calibration processes for partner organizations, including direct interaction with partner analytics leaders and delivering on partner-specific priorities.
  • Support, mentor, and guide junior Data Science team members to efficiently resolve complex issues beyond existing documentation.
  • Maintain and improve the codebase with version control, collaborative workflows, and general software development best practices.
  • Improve internal and external RightsHelper modeling product documentation and internal process guidance.
  • Provide strategic input on product development, data collection, data architecture, front-end development, and overall business strategy.
  • Translate analytical results into operational decisions and work closely with partners and internal teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Help build and sustain a collaborative engineering culture focused on ownership and empathy for customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in revenue (yield) management, data science, statistical analytics, machine learning, consulting, or a related field.
  • Familiarity and good judgment with a broad range of modeling methodologies and tools, including exploratory data analysis, regression models, simulation, discrete choice, optimization, Bayesian statistics, and causal inference.
  • Demonstrated excellence with statistical programming and development; R is required, Python is a plus.
  • Experience using git/version control tools in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent reasoning, problem-solving, deduction, and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to efficiently identify and solve complex problems in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience with cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Docker) is a plus.
  • Proficiency with SQL and relational databases is a plus.
  • Familiarity with BI presentation tools (e.g., R Shiny, Tableau, D3), web programming (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), or general programming languages (C, C++, Java) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the sports, concert, or ticketing industries is a plus.

  • Base pay $120,000–$140,000 per year.
