Description

  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines that ingest, process, and transform data from clinical operations, patient interactions, and system performance sources.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, business stakeholders, and operations, clinical, and engineering leaders to translate requirements into reliable data solutions.
  • Develop and manage data infrastructure, including databases, data lakes, warehouses, and ETL processes.
  • Optimize query performance and storage strategies for large, complex datasets.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across the data lifecycle while supporting HIPAA and other healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Implement data modeling, database design, and data architecture best practices to support analytics, reporting, and downstream ML/AI applications.
  • Create and maintain documentation for data engineering processes and pipelines.
  • Stay current with emerging data engineering and architecture technologies and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a related role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with large-scale databases and data warehouses.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Experience with data warehouse solutions such as Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
  • Proficiency in Python or Scala for data processing and analysis.
  • Familiarity with ETL frameworks and tools such as Apache Airflow, dbt, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and healthcare compliance and security best practices.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in healthcare or with healthcare-related datasets such as clinical or claims data, and familiarity with standards such as HL7, FHIR, or X12, preferred.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques and tools for predictive analytics, preferred.
