Description

  • Perform manual testing across the product suite, with a primary focus on Android and cloud-based systems.
  • Create, maintain, and update test cases based on feature scope and risk.
  • Contribute to test planning and test strategy development.
  • Expand and maintain automation efforts using Espresso and support the transition toward Jetpack Compose testing.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product, and cross-functional teams to communicate issues and validate fixes.
  • Adapt quickly to new product initiatives and take ownership of testing in evolving areas.
  • Validate functionality, performance, and user experience across Android and cloud environments.
  • Help shape quality throughout development rather than only validating at release.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience on teams building, testing, and shipping complex software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong experience balancing manual exploratory testing with automation.
  • Experience with at least one mobile automation framework, such as Espresso or Appium, with a preference for Android-focused testing.
  • Ability to document, reproduce, and troubleshoot issues with clear and actionable detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with test management tools such as Qase, TestRail, or similar.
  • Familiarity with command line environments such as Linux, macOS, or Windows.
  • Ability to work independently, plan and prioritize tasks, and deliver results in a remote environment.
  • Comfortable testing Android and cloud-based systems.
  • Ability to thrive with minimal day-to-day oversight and proactively drive quality.
  • Experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, or Android Studio is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Jetpack Compose and testing strategies for Compose-based UIs is preferred.
  • Experience with Playwright or other web automation tools for cloud-based systems is preferred.
  • Experience testing client-server or API-driven applications is preferred.
  • Experience in a startup-style development environment is preferred.
