Description

Perform manual testing across the product suite, with a primary focus on Android and cloud-based systems.
Create, maintain, and update test cases based on feature scope and risk.
Contribute to test planning and test strategy development.
Expand and maintain automation efforts using Espresso and support the transition toward Jetpack Compose testing.
Collaborate with engineers, product, and cross-functional teams to communicate issues and validate fixes.
Adapt quickly to new product initiatives and take ownership of testing in evolving areas.
Validate functionality, performance, and user experience across Android and cloud environments.
Help shape quality throughout development rather than only validating at release.

Requirements

2-5 years of experience on teams building, testing, and shipping complex software.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent relevant experience.
Strong experience balancing manual exploratory testing with automation.
Experience with at least one mobile automation framework, such as Espresso or Appium, with a preference for Android-focused testing.
Ability to document, reproduce, and troubleshoot issues with clear and actionable detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with test management tools such as Qase, TestRail, or similar.
Familiarity with command line environments such as Linux, macOS, or Windows.
Ability to work independently, plan and prioritize tasks, and deliver results in a remote environment.
Comfortable testing Android and cloud-based systems.
Ability to thrive with minimal day-to-day oversight and proactively drive quality.
Experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, or Android Studio is preferred.
Familiarity with Jetpack Compose and testing strategies for Compose-based UIs is preferred.
Experience with Playwright or other web automation tools for cloud-based systems is preferred.
Experience testing client-server or API-driven applications is preferred.
Experience in a startup-style development environment is preferred.

Salary of $50,000-$80,000 plus equity.
