Description

  • Evaluate websites, applications, and documents for compliance with accessibility standards such as WCAG.
  • Conduct accessibility audits, usability testing, and assistive technology evaluations.
  • Review design files and images to identify accessibility issues before development.
  • Work with Product Managers and Product Owners to define accessibility requirements early in the development process.
  • Provide recommendations to developers, designers, and content creators to improve accessibility.
  • Stay current on accessibility guidelines, legislation, and industry trends.
  • Train teams on accessibility best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Document findings and create reports to track progress and compliance.
  • Help improve accessibility-related processes and support a sustainable accessibility culture across the organization.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in accessibility evaluation, recommendations, and training.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility laws, guidelines, and frameworks such as WCAG.
  • Experience with assistive technologies including screen readers, magnifiers, and speech recognition tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working with diverse teams to implement accessibility improvements.
  • Solid grasp of HTML and CSS with the ability to identify issues and recommend fixes.
  • Familiarity with ARIA attributes and best practices for browser support and screen reader compatibility.
  • Preferred: Experience evolving teams from little or no accessibility maturity to strong, sustainable accessibility practices.
  • Preferred: Experience working in UX, web development, or compliance-related fields.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with ADA and Section 508 accessibility requirements.
  • Preferred: Ability to conduct audits using accessibility evaluation tools.
  • Preferred: Passion for accessibility advocacy.

  • Salary range of $74,700 to $102,750 USD.
