Description

  • Be the accountable expert for payroll compliance in your jurisdiction(s) and own compliance outcomes for your country/region.
  • Interpret, document, and implement local legislative requirements across processes, systems, and customer workflows.
  • Translate statutory rules, payroll logic, tax calculations, thresholds, and edge cases into structured product and engineering requirements.
  • Partner with Product and Design to create compliant, intuitive, and auditable user experiences; review specifications and validate product outputs.
  • Lead and deliver multi‑country or high‑risk audits and regulatory reviews from planning through remediation and establish scalable audit frameworks.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for regional compliance incidents, partner with Incident Managers, and drive corrective and preventative actions.
  • Design and implement scalable processes, SOPs, controls, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure ongoing payroll compliance.
  • Build enablement materials, deliver training and coaching to Specialists and Leads, and maintain high‑quality documentation for rules, workflows, and system logic.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal, Support, and Customer Success to embed compliance into decision‑making and support go‑to‑market and customer escalations.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in payroll and employment compliance for the specified country/region, including how legislation translates into payroll calculations and system logic.
  • Proven track record leading audits, regulatory reviews, or country‑level compliance programs.
  • Experience partnering with technical teams to convert statutory rules into product requirements and validating system outputs.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder influence skills across Product, Engineering, Legal, Support, and Senior Leadership.
  • Demonstrated investigative experience and sound judgment handling high‑risk or sensitive compliance scenarios.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching colleagues to grow team capability.
  • Systems thinker with experience designing frameworks, documentation, processes, and controls that scale.
  • Comfortable operating in an asynchronous, fast‑changing, fully remote environment.
  • Willingness to undergo prior employment verification and ability to submit application materials in English (CV as PDF or LinkedIn profile).
