Description

  • Serve as the subject-matter expert on Time & Attendance matters and advise clients and internal teams on complex cases and legislative changes.
  • Case-manage employee lifecycle leave and working-hours matters (e.g., family leave, sick leave, time tracking, public holidays, working time) for internal and external employees with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provide legal guidance and interpret employment agreements and local labor laws for both basic and complex situations as a trusted consultant to clients and employees.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with payroll, legal counsel, government bodies and other internal/external stakeholders to ensure compliance in employee lifecycle activities.
  • Support Senior Specialists on critical, multi-country initiatives and assist with HR and financial audits to ensure adherence to local employment regulations.
  • Develop, update and maintain global internal Time & Attendance documentation based on legislative changes and serve as a reference for internal teams.
  • Identify and contribute to process improvements, automation opportunities, and product development to enhance customer and employee lifecycle experience.
  • Safely manage and maintain confidential employee data, following established protocols and promoting data integrity and documentation best practices.
  • Promote Remote’s values and proactively contribute to the Lifecycle team’s operational excellence and goals.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing employee lifecycle events with care, sensitivity and legal compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experience providing HR support and guidance on employment laws and regulations, including complex legal interpretations.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, conflict management and negotiation skills with the ability to lead difficult conversations while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English (business level); additional languages are a plus.
  • Aptitude for innovating and optimizing processes, with a track record or interest in implementing automation and operational best practices.
  • Comfortable working asynchronously in a fast-paced, fully remote international team and willing to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Tech-savvy and familiar with tools such as Notion, Slack, Zendesk and G Suite; able to adapt to new systems.
  • Foundational understanding of AI and enthusiasm for applying AI to operations and automation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across stakeholders; strong attention to documentation and data integrity.
  • Preference for candidates based in Southern Europe (applications welcome from anywhere, but priority given to Southern Europe).
