Description

  • Ensure Remote’s activities remain compliant with evolving sanctions, AML, and CFT guidance and regulations.
  • Identify compliance and sanctions risks across the group and advise on strategies, systems, policies, and controls to mitigate them.
  • Serve as the second-line escalation point for onboarding and transaction monitoring analyst teams.
  • Support sanctions and AML/CFT risk assessments across the wider Remote group.
  • Draft, maintain, and improve policies and procedures covering customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, screening, risk assessments, transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reporting, law enforcement engagement, fraud prevention, anti-bribery and corruption, and sanctions compliance.
  • Create and deliver training and knowledge-sharing materials on compliance procedures and controls.
  • Coordinate and execute AML/CTF audits and manage day-to-day relationships with third-party compliance advisors.
  • Oversee the control environment to ensure ongoing compliance with regulations, internal policies, and good practice.
  • Track regulatory changes and update reporting processes accordingly.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in compliance roles, ideally in fintech or financial services, with demonstrable Financial Crime and Sanctions Compliance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of AML, CFT, and sanctions regulations.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements across the UK, EU, USA, and Canada is a plus.
  • Previous experience in second-line compliance roles in financial services is required; first-line compliance operations experience is a plus.
  • Professional AML or compliance certifications.
  • Strong automation and AI capabilities.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Remote work experience is not required but considered a plus.
  • Ability to work from EMEA or the US East Coast is preferred.
