Description

  • Manage a small product team of 3-5 engineers across backend and frontend work.
  • Spend about 30% of the role on people management while remaining actively involved in product development.
  • Participate in hiring for the team and support hiring efforts for peers when needed.
  • Own onboarding for new engineers joining the team.
  • Manage team dynamics, act as the team spokesperson, and help every member perform at their best.
  • Give continuous, constructive feedback and provide coaching and guidance to direct reports.
  • Support each direct report’s career growth and help the team grow as a group.
  • Redesign engineering delivery so autonomous agents become the default execution layer.
  • Propose and operationalize end-to-end agentic workflows from specification through verification.
  • Build reusable agentic workflows and primitives in the codebase and use verification loops to ensure quality, security, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements

  • Managed an engineering team of at least 2 people.
  • Extensive experience with frontend technologies such as React, JavaScript, ES6, and Jest, or backend technologies such as Elixir/Phoenix.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals with a track record of shipping secure, reliable, and scalable production systems.
  • Practical experience designing or adopting agentic or automation workflows, or similar systems, and improving them iteratively.
  • Ability to think in systems, including defining clear specs, breaking down plans, instrumenting verification, and closing the quality loop.
  • Solid communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge of engineering and development principles and best practices.
  • Proven organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to inspire others and instill confidence.
