Description

  • Review documentation and verify certifications, specifications, and conformance to design requirements.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and hand tools to assess parts against drawing requirements.
  • Document inspection results and identify nonconformities.
  • Write nonconformance reports when inspection issues are found.
  • Perform visual inspections for burrs, damage, scratches, and foreign object debris.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the quality lab and metrology tools.
  • Work closely with design, manufacturing, test, and launch teams to support quality in the build process.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical inspection or quality control within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Intermediate understanding of ASME Y14.5 standards and GD&T.
  • Proficiency with inspection tools and measurement techniques.
  • Working knowledge of helicoils, keenserts, AS5202 port threads, and surface finishes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Experience with NX, Teamcenter, or LN is preferred.
  • Experience with quality management systems and standards such as AS9100 or ISO 9001 is preferred.
  • Experience with MES and/or ERP systems is preferred.
  • Experience in an aerospace or automotive startup, or with in-process build inspections and precision inspection techniques, is preferred.
