Description

  • Design, test, and analyze custom electronics for the Terran R launch vehicle.
  • Own hardware development across the full product lifecycle, from concept to flight maturity.
  • Perform initial design, board bring-up, design verification, qualification, and initial flight production.
  • Support integration of hardware into the vehicle and participate in vehicle operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partner teams to make system-level design decisions.
  • Work closely with avionics, manufacturing, and test teams to enable rapid iteration and feedback.
  • Partner with propulsion, GNC, fluids, stage engineering, and other teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Help shape the avionics architecture for Terran R and support components intended to fly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience designing electronics for harsh environments and mission-critical applications such as launch vehicles, spacecraft, aircraft, or robotics.
  • Technical expertise in ADCs, DACs, signal conditioning, amplifier circuits, and filter design.
  • Experience with eCAD software such as Altium or equivalent.
  • Experience with hardware bring-up, validation, debugging, and data analysis.
  • Experience with board-level design from concept to manufacturing.
  • Experience working with highly cross-functional teams to develop integrated electronics solutions.
  • Familiarity with embedded software development and integration for avionics systems (preferred).
  • Experience with design for reliability and manufacturability of avionics hardware and systems (preferred).
  • Understanding of interfacing hardware such as sensors, thermocouples, pressure transducers, solenoids, pyrotechnics, and actuators (preferred).
