Description

  • Source, test, and qualify EEE piece parts that support Terran R avionics electronics.
  • Support the full product lifecycle from early conceptual trades through component selection and qualification.
  • Screen and qualify components for a variety of avionics use cases.
  • Lead failure analysis investigations during testing.
  • Work with cross-functional partner teams to make decisions that support the overall vehicle.
  • Contribute to the electrical design of rocket avionics systems, including electronics and interconnects.
  • Support associated mechanical design, testing, and initial production for avionics hardware.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in electronics design for harsh environments and mission-critical applications such as launch vehicles, spacecraft, aircraft, or robotics.
  • Familiarity with active and passive electronic components and their failure modes.
  • Familiarity with destructive and non-destructive failure analysis methods, including DPA, X-Ray, and CSAM.
  • Experience working with cross-functional design, build, and reliability engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of automotive, industrial, and military EEE piece-part ratings (preferred).
  • Experience with EEE piece-part supply chain and manufacturing methods (preferred).
  • Strong analysis skills in computing reliability and failure rates (preferred).
