Description

  • Work closely with engineering leadership to ensure Vehicle Software Infrastructure tools and processes help engineers move quickly without creating downstream issues.
  • Create and roll out new processes and tools, while streamlining or eliminating processes that no longer scale or remain effective.
  • Manage a team of engineers maintaining existing infrastructure tools and developing new features as the program moves into Stage Testing.
  • Mentor and coach Vehicle Software Infrastructure engineers and provide technical review to reduce technical risk.
  • Evaluate existing infrastructure and the interfaces between ground and vehicle software, and recommend updates to improve robustness and tool performance.
  • Collaborate across engineering, Ground Software, integration, and executive teams to coordinate infrastructure priorities and improvements.
  • Support responsible engineering practices by balancing speed, rigor, and operational reliability.
  • Help shape the foundation of the Terran R software stack through process and tooling decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience leading high-performing engineering teams on complex, cross-functional software infrastructure projects.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate across engineering, Ground Software, integration, and executive teams.
  • Experience driving operational improvements, asset utilization, and process standardization in technical laboratory environments.
  • Experience with high-reliability software for complex systems.
  • Preferred experience scaling software infrastructure for rapidly growing aerospace programs.
  • Preferred prior experience in the space industry.
