Description

  • Lead supplier development strategy to align supplier performance with Terran R production, launch, and compliance requirements.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for assigned suppliers and resolve manufacturing and quality issues.
  • Track supplier performance metrics and scorecards, including PPM, yield, and PPAP timing.
  • Lead new product introduction efforts by selecting manufacturing methods and developing scalable production processes with Engineering and Supply Chain.
  • Conduct design for manufacturing reviews and support PPAP, FAIR, and APQP execution and approvals.
  • Manage supplier corrective actions, root cause investigations, and compliance verification against AS9100, ISO 9001, and NASA quality standards.
  • Own supplier risk escalation and resolution to recover quickly from quality or capacity issues.
  • Provide technical direction and day-to-day guidance to other engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, such as Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Experience in aerospace or another high-reliability, safety-critical industry preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional programs end-to-end without direct authority over all contributors.
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes for space- or safety-critical hardware, including forming, machining, and metal assembly.
  • Expert working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systems.
  • Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, FAIRs, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
  • Ability to define processes from the ground up and deploy them across diverse teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the work week when needed.
  • Master's degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • Professional certification such as Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ CQE, or PMP is preferred.
  • Familiarity with high-volume inspection methods and data-driven acceptance criteria is preferred.
  • Experience with PLM, ERP, or MES systems and data analysis is preferred.
