Description

  • Drive complex failure analysis for critical manufacturing and field failures using Fault Tree processes.
  • Ensure corrective and preventive actions are validated and sustained to prevent recurrence.
  • Integrate FMEA and predictive modeling into early-stage designs to identify and mitigate risks before production.
  • Partner with NPI, Supply Chain, and Operations to resolve reliability issues and influence supplier quality outcomes.
  • Define and maintain reliability KPIs, including MTBF, escapes to next operations, and first-pass yield.
  • Translate reliability data into actionable insights for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Own qualification testing programs such as Accelerated Life Testing and environmental stress screening.
  • Lead risk escalation and resolution efforts using disciplined problem-solving methods such as 8D.
  • Provide technical direction and day-to-day guidance to other engineers.
  • Help establish processes, controls, and inspections that scale with the Terran R program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Build Reliability, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in aerospace or another high-reliability, safety-critical industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ownership of complex, cross-functional programs.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and programs end-to-end without direct authority over all contributors.
  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systems.
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, FAIRs, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to build processes from the ground up and deploy them across diverse teams.
  • Master's degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • Professional certification such as Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, or PMP is preferred.
  • Familiarity with high-volume inspection methods and data-driven acceptance criteria is preferred.
  • Experience with PLM, ERP, or MES systems and proficiency in data analysis is preferred.
  • Comfort operating in high ambiguity and setting direction when precedent or data is incomplete is preferred.
